The perils of tight pants
A photo I took in the lovely old town of Saarburg in Germany, where there is a waterfall in the middle of the pedestrian area.
Civil War Hardtack
This cracker was a Union soldier’s main ration. Popularly known as “sheet iron crackers,” they were notoriously difficult to bite into and chew. Unlike leavened bread, hardtack was quite durable and would keep for a veeeerrrry long time. This cracker was signed by two soldiers of the Eighth Pennsylvania Infantry and kept as a souvenir of their service.
OH MY GOSH.
There aint no party like a Bonaparty ‘cause a Bonaparty don’t stop until you’re defeated at Waterloo and you’re forced into exile on the island of Saint Helena
My wife and I have been watching some classic Disney movies and it got me thinking about the short-lived gigantic final forms some of the villains take. Maleficent, Jafar and Ursula in particular spend seconds as massively destructive titans. It got me thinking about what would happen if they were able to spend days, even weeks as apocalyptic monsters. Then I started to wonder what would happen if you had to deal with all three at once. You’d probably want to limp away and wait until they finished one another off.
